Beyond the Wall is a painting that was inspired by the suffering of veterans from any war. I believe WWII veterans were just as traumatized as veterans of subsequent wars.

"Ecce Homo" which, in latin, means "Behold the Man" was inspired by the perceptions of race in American. I believe racial prejudgements are made by all races and will only end when we behold the person, not the race.

"House of the Living Dead" was inspired by the death of several elderly shut-ins during an extreme weather event.In every case, the person lived alone. Particularly sad was that these people were dead for quite some time before anyone missed them. In the eyes of the world they were the living dead.
